SÄKAPHEN Re-Lining and Re-Coating of Turbines, Impellers and Housings

Lining and Coating Removal and Re-Lining / Re-Coating for NDT / NDE Integrity

Particular rotating equipment such as Turbines and Impellers, operating at high revolutions are often susceptible to severe material stress, negatively impacting the material integrity of the metal substrate. Thus, Turbines and Impellers are regularly inspected for structural integrity, with particular attention paid to weld seams. In cases where the Turbine or Impeller is coated, this may have to be removed by abrasive blasting as any residual deposits may hinder the NDT / NDE.

Although SÄKAPHEN linings and coatings are robust and provide excellent resistance against thermal and chemical stresses, as found in steel manufacturing, thermal power plants and waste incineration, the coatings can be removed by abrasive blasting should the need arise for NDT / NDE.

For many decades SÄKAPHEN have significantly reduced costs and increased efficiency in the re-lining and re-coating of Turbines and Impellers.

Once maintenance and inspection works are complete, the rotating equipment can be transported to either the SÄKAPHEN site in Gladbeck, Germany or one of our international authorized applicators to carry out suitable lining, coating, re-lining or re-coating as required.
